News > Live Near Mission Dolores Park
Encompassing 16 acres in San Francisco is Mission Dolores Park. Even though it has a smaller footprint than its neighboring Golden Gate and Presidio Park, Mission Dolores is very popular on a sunny day. Established as a park in 1905, this hillside location gives visitors a great San Francisco skyline view. It's also an exceptional location for people watching, hanging out with your dog and meeting friends. In addition to lots of green areas, the park also has a soccer field, six tennis courts, one basketball court, a multi-use court and a playground.
Part of the reason that the park is so popular is that it is strategically located around several residential neighborhoods, including, obviously, the Mission Dolores and also Eureka Valley. Most of the condos here are in small buildings with only one or two more units while there are several larger developments too.
Before heading over to the park, you can stop by the Dolores Park Cafe to grab a coffee. Stop by the bakery on 18th Street too, as your day gets better and better.
